AA: Alexander 'Greek' Thomson Architect 1817-1875, Architectural Association exhibition catalogue, London 1984, in association with the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow.

Amelia: Memoir of Thomson probably written by his daughter, Amelia, possibly written for or in collaboration with the Revd John Stark for the Alexander Thomson Memorial, but attributed by Mrs W.L. Stewart to his widow, Jane Nicholson.
